VARNA, Bulgaria

The Municipality of Varna commissioned me to create a promotional film showcasing the city as a vibrant travel destination on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast. The objective was to move beyond a traditional tourism advertisement and create a cinematic story that would inspire people to discover the city through authentic experiences.

Over several days, I filmed some of Varna’s most iconic locations, combining cultural landmarks, beaches, local life, architecture, gastronomy and the atmosphere of the city into a cohesive narrative. Rather than simply presenting attractions, the film was designed to immerse viewers in the feeling of spending a few days in Varna, highlighting both its rich history and its modern, lively character.

I was responsible for the entire production, including concept development, filming, drone cinematography, editing, color grading and sound design, delivering a final film optimized for the municipality’s tourism and promotional campaigns.

The result is a story-driven destination film that captures the personality of Varna while providing the municipality with versatile marketing content for digital platforms, social media and international promotion.
